FALL SEASON 2025
The LOUYAA Linganore Pom & Dance program is designed for children, K through 8th grade, to learn and perform choreography for halftime performances at LOUYAA Linganore youth football games.
Our program aims to build confidence through dance, and to foster a positive atmosphere of friendship and teamwork.
Dancing is not only about the ability to perform a routine. It is also about working hard as an individual and in a group. Working in a group may look simple from the outside, but it takes a lot of practice and coordination to perform as one. Our participants learn to work together, as a team, so on gameday, they can apply the skills and techniques they’ve learned at practice.
Some of the things your daughter can learn or develop by participating on a dance squad:
• Strong character
• Understanding of the benefits of hard work
• Focus on fitness
• Self-confidence
• Social skills
No try-outs required. Our only requirement is a commitment to participate at practices and performances.

SEASON PRACTICE INFORMATION
Please note that practice details and team sizes may be different than prior years and remain subject to change as we continue to work to create a practice schedule that helps to mitigate the increased costs that FCPS now charges for use of their facilities. Outdoor facilities are much cheaper than indoor, so we are looking at adding practice days and/or times to the beginning of the season so teams can frontload the learning of new dances, which will allow us to reduce our reliance on the limited, yet expensive gym space, later in the season.
• Most weeks practices will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, based on practice space availability & team needs.
• Varsity level will be adding a 3rd day TBD.
• Practices will be from 6-8pm. Ending time for the youngest girls is usually earlier but will be based on team needs. More info TBD.
• Practices will be held at the tennis courts/basketball courts behind NMES/NMMS, unless otherwise noted.
