FALL SEASON 2026

Dance, perform, and be part of the game day excitement! The LOUYAA Linganore Pom & Dance program welcomes children Kindergarten through 8th grade to learn fun choreography, build confidence, and perform halftime routines at Linganore youth football games. Through practice and teamwork, dancers develop skills, friendships, and the confidence to shine on the field.

Because of the ordering deadline on an exciting new item included in the 2026 mandatory apparel package, registration for the Fall Season will move to “waitlist only” after 6/30. Sign up now and be sure to experience the Linganore spirit!  No try-outs required.  Our only requirement is a commitment to participate at practices and performances.

PRESEASON CLINIC – SUMMER TRIBE VIBES ‘26  (Mon 8/3 – Thu 8/6 9:00am-2:00pm)- Click Here for Flyer

After you’ve completed registration for the Fall 2026 season, your registration confirmation will include link to register for the clinic.  As in 2025, the preseason clinic is open to all dancers registered for the Fall 2026 season.

This preseason clinic is a fun and energetic way for dancers to build skills, connect with teammates, and prepare for the season ahead.

*While the clinic is not required, dancers who attend often start the season feeling more confident, more prepared, and more connected to their team. It’s a great opportunity to build friendships, learn new moves, and step onto the field ready for game day.

What Dancers Can Look Forward to at the Clinic:

•        Team-building activities to help dancers connect and build friendships

•        Instruction in choreography and dance technique

•        Learning dances that will be performed during the season

•        Special sessions with members of the award-winning Linganore High School Poms team

•        A celebratory color party to wrap up the clinic

Join us and start the season strong and get ready to bring your Linganore pride to the field!

FALL 2026 SEASON OVERVIEW

2026 Mandatory Apparel
New this season, a significant portion of the $120 mandatory apparel fee paid at registration, will go toward custom-made performance sleeveless shells, created by our uniform vendor. These Summer Gameday tops match our current game skirts, giving every team a polished look on the hottest of game-days. This shell is yours to keep and can be used for multiple seasons.

In-person fitting information for this item will be provided after registration, including scheduled dates with our Varsity Spirit representative. Participants will be sized to ensure proper fit. Custom shells will be ordered on July 2, 2026, for timely arrival before the performance season.

In addition to the sleeveless shell, the mandatory apparel package will also include a 2026 jersey, a branded t-shirt and two branded game bows.

Team Allocations

Please note that team placements may vary from previous years and remain subject to change. Teams are formed based on program size and grade distribution, with the goal of maintaining manageable team sizes and providing a high-quality experience for all participants. As a result, teams may not always align exactly with football divisions. Based on registration numbers, teams created for clinic may vary from those created for the season.

Preseason Practices

All teams will practice from 6:00-8:00pm on 8/10, 8/11, 8/12, 8/13 and 8/17.

Seasonal Practices

Most in-season practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, based on practice space availability and individual team needs. Varsity-level teams will add a third practice day (TBD). Practices will generally run from 6:00–8:00 PM. Teams with the youngest girls (K-2) will generally practice for no more than 90 minutes. Practices are behind NMMS.

Season Performances

•        Games are held on weekends from late August through October, with postseason performances extending into mid-November if applicable.

•        Game times typically place younger teams earlier in the day. Schedules follow football and are subject to change.

•        All poms Teams practice before halftime performances; dancers may leave after their performance or stay for the remainder of the game.

UNIFORM INFORMATION

Linganore Poms has already ordered brand new uniforms for the teams who were still wearing the older style uniform in 2025. This means our uniform migration is now complete.  For fall 2026, Mini Pony through JV will wear the same new style and Varsity will continue to wear their own style.

Standard-Issue Gameday Uniform

•        Each dancer will be issued a long-sleeve uniform body liner / bodysuit and skirt for use during the 2026 season. The long-sleeve uniform style will be worn on colder gamedays. A uniform deposit check will be collected and held uncashed; and will be returned upon timely return of the uniform at the end of the season.

•        Fittings for all teams will be held in the evenings on 7/20, 7/21, 7/22 and on 7/27, 7/28 and 7/29. More specific details will be communicated.

Interested in Buying the ‘Standard-Issue Gameday Uniform’ instead of Borrowing?

•        Based on feedback we’ve received, families will have the option this year to purchase their dancer’s long-sleeve uniform body liner/bodysuit and skirt.

•        Purchasing a uniform is entirely optional and intended only for families seeking an alternative uniform option.

•        The current uniform styles will most likely be worn for the next 4 years.

•        The cost of a uniform exceeds the seasonal registration fee, and based on uniform style, costs range from $235 to $325. Because sizing needs can change from season to season, this investment may not make sense for all participants.

•        Each dancer will be professionally measured by our Varsity Spirit representative to ensure proper fit.

•        Orders for these purchases will be placed by Linganore Poms and will enjoy our special program pricing.

•        Buying a unform is absolutely not required and there is no cost associated with using the Standard-Issue Gameday Uniform.

Custom-Made Performance Sleeveless Shell (Summer Gameday Uniform Top - Included in your 2026 mandatory apparel fee)

•        As part of your mandatory apparel fee, each dancer will receive a custom-made performance sleeveless shell provided by our uniform vendor. This sleeveless summer gameday uniform top matches our current game skirts, giving every team a clean and unified look on even the hottest of summer gamedays. This item is yours to keep and is designed for use over multiple seasons

Items that Must be Purchased Separately

•        Black 3’ or 4” compression shorts

•        Solid black tank to wear beneath jersey

•        Black leggings

•        No-show white socks

•        White cheer shoes

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

With a focus on long-term success and program continuity, we are seeing increased interest in volunteering as our program continues to grow. To ensure the best experience for our athletes and families, all interested volunteers—new and returning—will be asked to complete a Volunteer Interest Form so we can thoughtfully match each individual to the role where they can contribute most effectively. Anyone who indicates interest in volunteering during registration will later receive a Volunteer Interest Form.

Our program values a team-first mindset, reliability, and a positive, age-appropriate developmental environment. Coaching expectations vary by age group: younger teams focus on fundamentals, confidence-building, and a fun introduction to the program, while older teams require a more engaged, hands-on approach with a stronger emphasis on technique and skill development.

For those unable to take on a coaching role—or if coaching positions are filled—there are many meaningful ways to contribute, including administrative support, event coordination, and creative roles. We encourage all interested individuals to consider how they can best support the program through their time, talents, or resources.  Many volunteers grow into different roles over time, so even if your ideal role isn’t available this year, your involvement in any capacity is both valued and appreciated.
