Middle School Winter Indoor Game League 2024-2025

Introduction
LOUYAA field hockey will be offering a winter indoor program for Winter 2024-2025 in coordination with Howard County Recreation and Parks (HCRP) field hockey league. Compete on a regulation-sized court in two 25-minute, 6 vs. 6 games per night. This is a great opportunity for experienced middle school players to continue playing field hockey throughout the winter months.  Winter indoor is a fast-paced, game-only league that requires an understanding of basic field hockey skills, so it is not recommended for first-time players.

Player Requirements
- Open to all middle school girls currently in 6th, 7th or 8th grades
- Must have played one season of fall field hockey with LOUYAA or a club team
- This league is not recommended for first-time players

Season Dates
- The 8 game season runs from December 15, 2024 - February 2, 2025
- No games 12/29 and 1/5
- Games: Sunday afternoons *between 4:00pm and 7:00pm at Meadowbrook Athletic Complex

Practices
- There are NO practices for winter indoor field hockey, only games on Sunday afternoons

Registration Fee
- $100
- includes a league t-shirt

Uniform
-       Provided league t-shirt (included in registration fee)
-       Solid black athletic shorts (must provide your own)
-       Black and White Shin Guards (Black when the "away" team, white when "home" team

Equipment Required
-       Indoor field hockey stick (outdoor sticks may not be used)
-       Shin guards (black & white)
-       Mouth guard

Max Roster Size (established by league)
- Because we play 6 vs. 6 games, each team is limited to 12 players max

3rd through 8th Grade INDOOR FIELD HOCKEY SKILLS CLINIC 
LOUYAA Field Hockey is excited to offer a five (5) week winter skills clinic for current 3rd-8th graders.  This five (5) week skills clinic will focus on individual stickwork, ball control and drills (no games) on Saturday mornings with back to back sessions this year. 

First Session: 3rd-5th grades from 8:30 am - 9:30 am 
Second Session: 6th-8th grades from 9:45 am - 10:45 am

This is for ALL skill levels *new to experienced 
Cost $55 per player

Saturday Clinic Dates & Locations:
January 18- Deer Crossing Rec Center
Jan. 25, February 1, 8, 15- Oakdale Rec Center

Equipment needed: field hockey stick, shin guards and mouthguard
