Winter 2024-2025

Registration is open to girls grades 1st-8th for Cheerleading OR Poms.

PRACTICES
Basketball Cheer and Pom practices will start at the beginning of December and continue through mid March. Practices will be one evening per week, Cheer will practice on Mondays and Poms will practice on Thursdays.

Cheer and Poms Practice times are as follows:
Grades 1st and 2nd- 6:00 - 7:30 PM
Grades 3rd - 8th 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Practice location is TBD, but will most likely be at New Market Middle School Cafeteria

GAMES

• Middle School CHEER and POMS (Grades 6-8 ):
  Will travel to games (within Frederick County for the most part). Normally games are on Saturdays or Sundays, with an occasional game during the week.

• Intramural CHEER and POMS (Grades 1-5):
  Will determine if we can participate at our rec games, which don't begin until January, once we get information from the basketball commissioner.

UNIFORMS
You will receive a shirt and a hair bow to keep.

PURCHASES

You will need to purchase, if you don't already have:

• FOR CHEER ONLY
• Any brand of plain white cheer shoes
• White no show socks
• Black solid leggings
• Black fitted/spandex shorts
•  
• FOR POMS ONLY
• Black Jazz Shoes (No white shoes, only black Jazz shoes for poms worn with no socks or nude tights only)
• Black solid leggings
• Black fitted/spandex shorts

Other contributions during the season to expect are: Coaches gift $20 per child, Banquet guest fee Approx. $10 - 15 pp, Pictures - Optional & Spirit Wear - Optional

* TBD - We might also have an opportunity to perform again this winter at U of MD basketball game, there will be ticket costs associated with attendance. Generally $6-10 pp
