 Welcome to our 6th year as a youth triathlon team where we will build on our previous season strength of using the Frederick Downtown YMCA (1000 North Market Street) as our main practice facility, along with Heritage Farm Park (9236 Devilbiss Bridge Rd) for additional outdoor training. 

Team Gear:  The team provides a race suite including either a triathlon top or full suite depending on the participants size and race desires.  We provide additional shirts, prizes, and other gear as our budget allows. 

Optional Team Apparel:  $30-$150  Squad Locker Boogie Bears Tri Club

VOLUNTEERS are needed and welcome, no experience required!  Coach Steve will train and mentor new coaches and volunteers. 

Events:
Each team member will be able to register for as many races as they would like to, including 5k races, duathlons, and of course triathlons. 
*Registration for the events is an additional cost (typically $20 - $75 per event) and registration is performed by the parent of the team member. 

2026 Team Schedule: 

Season: April 5 – August 10th

Outdoor Practices:  Heritage Farm Park (Walkersville) 6:00-7:30pm Mondays beginning April 6th

Indoor Practices:  YMCA (Downtown Frederick) 6:30-8:45pm Wednesdays beginning April 8th

Events:  Saturdays & Sundays 10+ events, athlete choice of participation.

Practices: 
Indoor practices (Wednesdays 6:30pm-7:45pm) at the YMCA will include swimming in the pool & running on the indoor track.
Our outdoor practices (Mondays 6:00pm-7:30pm) will focus on biking & running, and team games when we do not have races scheduled.

Training Groups:
The team will undergo some basic evaluations on swim, bike and run ability to divide the team into the most effective training groups. 

Registration:
Pricing: LOUYAA Registration $230 for full 17-week season! YMCA Youth membership required (approximately $42 per month during the 3-month season).

YMCA Youth Membership: Team Members Ages 11-15 for 3 months is approximately $126; Team Members Ages 8-10 will have to be part of a YMCA Family Membership. This is a significant change in YMCA membership policy for 2026!
